Teneriffa Wellness & Beauty tips
The Canary Islands hotel chain Coral Hotels will operate from today on with 100% renewable energy in all its complexes. This was stated by Roberto Barreiro, General Director of Coral Hotels, who considers that this measure is "one step forward in the chain's commitment to the Environment and Sustainable Tourism".
The hotel company, which features 11 properties in Tenerife and Fuerteventura, has already implemented numerous ecological measures in its daily operations aimed at promoting a more efficient use of resources, including an exhaustive analysis of all purchases, the constant study of consumption and a waste management procedure according to the company's Quality and Environment policies.
As a sign of this commitment to the environment, Coral Hotels has also gained the Travelife Gold seal in seven of its properties - Coral Suites & Spa, Coral Ocean View, Coral California, Coral Compostela Beach Golf, Coral Los Alisios, Coral Dreams and Coral Compostela Beach - an international certification that evaluates and verifies the achievements made by companies in the tourism sector in the field of responsible tourism.
Asked about the company's sustainability objectives, Roberto Barreiro explained that "among the next goals to be achieved in terms of Sustainable Tourism is the Coral Cotillo Beach renovation project", the chain's first property in Fuerteventura, which will be completely renewed "to give rise to an innovative product that will have respect for the environment and renewable energy as its central axes".
